ABOUT US
The Saltisford Canal Centre and the Saltisford Arm are managed by the Saltisford Canal Trust, a registered charity. The Saltisford Arm lies in the heart of Warwick, just below the famous Hatton lock flight, the ‘stairway to heaven’, on the Grand Union Canal.
The aims of the Trust are to restore, preserve and promote the Saltisford Canal Arm, its history and its use by narrowboats, visitors and the local community. As well as providing safe harbour for visiting boats, the arm is a beautiful blue green space, with waterside gardens which provide a peaceful refuge for visitors, complete with historic boats, orchards and spaces to meet and enjoy. The arm has a visitor centre with welcoming staff and a shop housed in a restored canal warehouse, where we sell gifts, books, handmade crafts, chandlery items, ice cream and when in season, our own honey.
